Your rat has these noises because he/she has mycoplasmosis. It is an infection in the lungs. All rats are born with it. You should get him/her to a vet. Once your rat is treated the infection will come back in a matter of months so once he starts again, its time for the vets! Sorry!
Hamsters make many noises to indicate differents thing such as a loud screeching noise. This means that the hamster is very scared and freaked out. The best thing to do at this point is to put it away and leave it in a quiet room. Hamsters tend to make clicking noises too. This simply means that they are content and curious.
It's not normal. Watch their breathing. The grunts could be wheezing, or sounds in the lungs, which is a sign of Mycoplasmosis.
because you make the rat cry.
I have both. I breed rats for pet & show, mice I don't breed at all.
OK let me get this straight. Rats are animals. All forms of life are equal. People just think they are "gross" because they seek shelter in their homes and sometimes have diseases. Pet rats can quite wonderful. You can find a pet rat at a pet shop for about 5$ to 30$. Tip: Do not try to keep wild rats as pets for various reasons.

Rats can live in many different environments. In the wild, rats can live in wooded areas, sewers or anywhere they can find food. Rats can invade homes and live in attics and storage areas. They will search out food and water. Wood rats can climb and live in trees.Pet rats are great pets and therefore there are a lot of commercial cages and habitats available. Pet stores carry a variety of cages for people who keep rats as pets.Super Pets makes a few different cages suitable for pet rats. There are other manufacturers who make rat cages including My First Home brand cages.Rats make nests out of whatever materials they have available. In attics they will use insulation. In cages, they use whatever bedding is offered. They are very crafty and will make use of what is available to them.Rats need a food and water source to survive. They are often found in wooded areas near streams where they can find shelter, food and water in a small area.
Yes. Pet rats are very smart. It takes a lot of patience. Rats will understand noises better then words. such as clicking sounds or kissing mouth noises. stuff like that. But give it a try!
I think it is because it is getting bothered
No. All pet rats are vaccinated.
Rats make a convenient pet because they are relatively small, they can eat almost anything, and they are not difficult to care for. It's much easier to have a pet rat than a pet rattlesnake, for example.
Rats are social creatures. They love the company of others and often stay in groups. They can form close bonds with their human pet parents if they are socialized. Domesticated rats are born tame but do need to be handled as much as possible when they are young to make sure they are friendly and calm to humans. Most rats are quiet but some will squeak, grunt and make noises to communicate with their humans. This may be to call attention to something in their cage or just asking for attention.
Yes, try your local pet shop, rats are intelligent animals and make interesting pets.
By far fancy rats make better pets. While feeding rats are bred in mass quantity, fancy rats are bred for a good temperament and a good health. But beware because some pet store rats are from rodent mills so if you are looking for quality then buy from a responsible breeder. While buy buying from a pet store, you may be saving a rat from being snake food, you are also supporting rodent mills and helping them make more rats.
You can find pet rats in a lot of pet stores, or animal rescues. You can find wild rats just about anywhere.
It depends on what you want to say about them. You could say: Pet rats make good pets for the following reasons ( list the reasons) and then cover the reasons in your paper.
