It responds to the door latch mechanism. If you trigger the latch the light buzzer, door lights e.t.c all respond.
Sorry- the actual buzzer- I'm not sure. But it may help that imo the correct term should be "TAIL Light Warning Buzzer" It's wired in with the TAIL lights. The headlights are on a different circuit so they will work fine.
dirty sensor
No lower than 60 psi
take two cells a buzzer and a light join the buzzer with wire and the light bulb with the buzzer and the cell
This is for a 1993 Chevy S-10 Pickup (caveat- NON expert- shade tree mechanic :)I never found the buzzer- it's 'somewhere' under the dash. My hearing isn't good enough to pinpoint the sound's origin, especially while assuming the obgyn position under the dash. What I want to contribute is, for my car, the "Headlight Warn Buzzer" should, imho,be named- the tail light warning buzzer. Tail lights (running lights, side markers, YMMV :) come on with the headlights, but have separate fuse/wiring. The buzzer is powered by the TAIL light circuit.btw, for instrument lights out, check TWO fuses: The "Inst Light" fuse, and (you guessed it:) the "TAIL light" fuse.Moral of the story- tail lights power much more than just . . . tail lightshth
I recently took thebuzzer box out of my 93 Continental cause it was annoying me with my "Check DCL" light. The box is located just under the steering columb. If you remove the piece of carpeting that is right above your gas and brake pedals. You will see a box off to the right hand side that will have 3 holes in it and a wiring harness with several wires comming out of it. You can disconnect this and that will take care of the buzzer for your "Check Engine" and any other warning lights that come on. It will also disable the buzzer that goes off when you leave your lights on and when your door is ajar. If you do this just make sure to keep a close eye on when you have any warning lights come on.
it is a warning light of course
