Nail varnish remover is as good as any expensive thinner. Been a nail tech 20 years and it works well for me.

When I take them off I take a toothpick and go in-between my real nail and the fake nail. It usually comes right off, but if it doesn't then try to put tape ontop of the fake nail and soak them in nail pollish remover.

I would say that nail varnish stays on for about a week, but sometimes longer.....it depends, but heat/hot water etc does weaken the nails and make them chip etc. As false nails, nail varnish also grows with your nails. It is important that when you are putting nail varnish on that you dont go right to the cutical and around the edge of your nails as that makes them chip, and they dont last as long. If you cover your nail varnish with clear nail varnish, then they have a chance of staying on longer.

Acetone dissolves nail polish. You can get the kind with Gelatin, fragrance (questionable tho because the smell of acetone is so strong), dyes and nail conditioners, or you can just go to Home Depot and buy a quart of acetone. They do the same thing.

the best way is to go to places like boots or superdrug, that sell alot of nail varnish, and take the polish you have with you to find the best match
