As a country becomes more developed, knowledge and availability of Birth Control improve. Many people in developing countries do not have complete understanding of the economic stress a baby can cause. Also, many developing countries have been offered free birth control from developed countries (mostly the U.S.) but generally refuse.

Developing countries are plagued by over population for a variety of reasons. Many stem from lack of sex education/contraception. Also, rural economies benefit people for having more children, because of more hands to work in agriculture. There are also religious/cultural reasons.

If you are interested in the problems of a particular developing country, you should ask about it specifically, as there are so many different countries with so many different problems.

High birth rates due to lack of contraception and sex education. Also a lack of playstations, satellite TV and money to go out for the evening leaves little else to do.
