Sonic did not do their homework. Coney Dogs were invented in Jackson, Michigan at George Todoroff at his Todoroff's "Original Coney Island" restaurant in 1914. The only link to Coney Island, NY is that is where hotdogs were first introduced. Todoroff invented Coney Dogs.
