Why does the air ride in a 1992 town car stay raised all the way up and the air suspension light is on?

My car is doing the same thing! let me guess, it didn't do this before you had it worked on. That's what happened to mine. This means that some of your cars air bags are inflating and others are not. From everything I have read, you need to turn the car off, and adjust the suspension module in the trunk. I'm going to try it tonight so I will let you know how it goes.
****Alright, after careful inspection; there is no module to adjust in the trunk. There is only an on/off switch. I searched everywhere and some answers are a little odd. This is what I tried. I turned the car on and off about 15 times. I turned the switch in the back to "off" and turned the car on. I turned the switch to "on" and turned the car on. I opened and closed the car doors as well as the trunk while the car was both turned on and off. NONE of these worked!
The only thing i didn't try was to turn the car off, unplug the battery ands let it sit for a half an hour. Then you plug the battery back in and start the car. II don't remember if the button in the back " on the drivers side above the wheel well" is supposed to be turned in the off or on position. It is midnight and I'm way too tired to fight with it anymore. I will try both of these tomorrow. Good luck with your car.
