I know why BRAKE Lights come on after some time ..... I also used to get that in my Maxima 1992. U need to fix Brake Pads or Brake Shoes ... that will get rid off the Brake lights that I know for sure ... I do not know about Battery Light ... may be u need to check the battery try pouring COKE or PEPSI on battery contacts (-)ve and (+)ve ... so as to get rid off oxide deposits ...
When the lights come on, check your alternator voltage. It should be approximately 13.8 VDC. If it's much lower (12.7 or lower), your alternator is going bad intermittently.
