there might be an inner fuse that blew. best thing to do is probably change the whole unit. check at a local junk yard. that year might be cheap.

blower resistor is bad
Sounds like your relay has failed. Near the blower motor (follow the wire back from the blower) there is a relay that controls this. It is fairly cheap and easy to replace. Need more help contact me through my board and I will try to help.

The high-speed fan relay in under the hood on the firewall left of center. If I remember correctly, there are 3 relays on the 1996. The relay closest to the passenger side is the high-speed relay. I had to replace it twice in my 1996 blazer You will propbably find that the plastic is melted slightly
