Why does the earth appear to move slow when it is actually going fast?

have you ever spun around fast and stopped? how fast everything was and how dizzy you felt? would you perfer earth was made to let us feel that pull of gravity so strongly or the way it is now...
The nearest point of reference is the moon, and it is a good distance away. The planets are further away than that, and the stars are light years away. The longer the distance, the slower the apparent movement. And since you are subject to earth's gravity and moving with it, there is no sense of the speed you are traveling.
