If there's a rough idle, that can be the cause. If whenever you give it some gas the engine looks like a bucking bronco trying to bust out of the chute, then you may have a broken engine mount. make sure you're engine mounts are tight that would cause a lot of vibration try that and see if that works
A 1994 Honda Prelude S would not have a VTEC engine in it (assuming it has the original engine in it). It should have the F22A1 in it which is SOHC and Non-VTEC.
No, the third and fourth generation are a different Chassis.
definitely the h22 engine from it's older brother prelude. is the best engine with 200hp stock. most of the people who have done that says that the prelude engine H22A1 will fit direct bolt in in any 90-97 Honda accord engine bay.
The 1994 Honda Prelude is best run with 91 octane fuel or higher. The vehicle is designed for use with high octane fuel.
ya sure all u are going to have to do is a wire for ur v tech..dats it .the engine will drop right in u can even use ur accord tranny...?
hi there you have to totallt removce the whole engine to get at it. the most pain in the thing to do...honestly i would just let her leak or takre it to the junk yard!\
You probably need to get your oil changed?
Approx 2 US qts.
Should be under dash or on side of the center console.
Just follow the lower water hose to where it meets the engine on the top and its that.. remove hose and three bolts and that's it.. drain the radiator first
back of engine next to oil filter, close to the bottom, so you'll have to jack the car in the air.
Only thing might be it has an h23 engine which is non-VTEC producing 160 bhp which falls short of the vtec prelude with the h22 making around 190 bhp. that's about it though.
Since the Integra Type R wasn't introduced until 1995, a 2000 Honda Prelude should be faster than a 1994 Acura Integra.
Yes. Depending on the engines there may be work that have to be done though. Ie you can't put a Prelude 2.2 VTEC engine into a Civic 1.5 without having to modify / replace wire harness/axless/engine mounts/etc. A change from / to the same engine should be a plug and play job though.
only if the transmission is a gsr
no, they are not
i have a 94 prelude CD player in my 99 civic all you have to do is call Honda and get the security code for the CD player
The 4th generation Prelude (1992-1996) had three engine variants, the "S" motor (SOHC F22A1), "Si" motor (DOHC H23A1), and "VTEC" motor (DOHC H22A1).
The 1992 - 1996 Honda Prelude Oil Capacities...S series, 5.2 quarts.... Si ( 2ws) 5.7 quarts...VTEC, 6.2 quarts with filter change.
If it turns over slowly it can still be the battery or, less likely, the starter. If its turn over is lively it's probably in the electrical system, maybe the computer.
b18c1, b18a1,b16 with custom or hasport motor mounts and the engine harness
