it needs replacing
Remove the fuel pump relay or the fuel pump fuse.
Fuel pump or fuel relay is going
fuel pump or crank sensor
GM vehicles do not have a fuel shut off/inertia switch
reset auto fuel shut off
Uhh well, on any car really.. if your fuel pump isn't delivering fuel your car will most likely sputter and shut off.
There never has been a fuel pump shutoff switch on a General Motors car.
GM vehicles do not have a fuel shut off/inertia switch
Yes it will. That happened to my wifes car. The mechanic replaced the pump and it still had the same problem. Replaced the fuel pump regulator and still the same problem. The problem was the ignition switch was shorted and the car thought it was being stolen and shut off the fuel pump. Hope it helps!
On a 2003 Lincoln Town Car : The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) is in the trunk , on the drivers side
Not sure what is wrong with your car but if your fuel pump is not working check your fuse for your fuel pump. check your fuel pump relay on your firewall. low or no fuel presser change your filter.
The fuel pump relay is also the fuel shut off relay. When you turn the key on, the fuel pump should run for 2 seconds then shut off unless the car starts. Easiest way I've found is to use starting fluid (ether) SPARINGLY! If the engine will start after using ether, then die, it's probably the fuel pump.
