There are a couple of reasons why a headlight keeps blowing on a 2001 HyundaiÊ Elantra. There could be a problem with the ground circuit or the connector.
Defective PW motor, short in the wiring or the switch.
you need to replace the fuse for the headlights.
Short in the wiring is the most likely cause.
most likely.
Short in the wiring or the device it powers.
A short to ground in the positive side of the headlight circuit. Most likely by a failed headlight switch. Ford is notorious for faulty healdight switches.
If it blows when cranking the starter has failed.
It might be because of moisture. Mine would go out every time it rained. I had my mechanic put a new silicon seal on the headlights and that solved it for me.
A short in the wiring (grounding out)
Are you touching the bulb with your oily fingers b/c once you do that, the bulb gets hot and pops on its own.
no i did not replace head light switch
Blown bulb, bad connection, water in connection, try using di-electric gel it will keep moisture out, cut wire, that is all if it isnt blowing a fuse then both headlight will be out.
