For some reason Oldsmobile decided to have the air constantly on for circulation purposes. Just turn the knob towards the blue side so that the air isn't hot. That should make it less iritating.
The same gauge light is on in my 1999 Olds Alero. Have you been able to find out the answer from another source? I was thinking low coolant or fuel but just a guess.
Your 2002 Alero has to be lifted up on a hoist and there is a plug that has to be removed. There is no dipstick. Once the plug has been opened you can insert your finger in the hole to see if there is oil in there.
Do you mean Trac off? It means that the traction assist function has been turned off. It is controlled by the trac button which if the alero is like the grand am is on the shift knob left side. Trac off is the normal driving position, turn the trac on for slippery conditions. ABS problems could cause the trac to fail as it is an application of the brakes to slow the faster wheel down to match the other side. speed sensors also have some affect.
My tire pressure light has been on forever. I finally got it to go off by holding in the reset button til it blinked and then shut off. You can try that.. if not it's just gonna stay on.
You have to replace the hazard/turn signal switch located in the center of the dash. Oldsmobile issued a recall for this part in 2004. If it has not been replaced, the dealer will do it for free. If it has been replaced, and failed again (like mine has) you are on your own. Call a dealer to see if it has been replaced yet.
If the car has high miles, try checking the catalytic converter. If it is clogged it will cause the vehicle to lose power.
Engine internals worn due to mileage or neglect - try a heavier grade oil
Most 2000 GM cars were filled with the RED Dexcool coolant. Using the standard green fluid after the Dexcool has been used can lead to clogged coolant passages and destroy the engine.
The computer was reset shortly before going for emissions testing and has not yet been able to collect data. You will need to drive the vehicle for at least 50 miles before testing can be done.
Oldsmobile Division of General Motors. Oldsmobile is no longer made by GM. The nameplate has been discontinued.
It means that the traction control system is disabled. You may have manually switched it off, or the parking brake may not be fully released, or there is a fault detected in the system and a scan tool will be required to learn what fault has been detected.
what can make a crank shaft sensor keep goin bad even if its been replaced 4 times.. in a 2000 oldsmobile bravada
