You probably have a manifold exhaust leak and the exhaust gasses are being picked up by the heater intake. I guess you could just be picking up exhaust gas from another vehicle though.
You possibly have a hole in your exchanger, when you are sitting still the fumes consentrate when you are moving the free flow of the air carries it away. http://www.autozone.com/servlet/UiBroker?UseCase=S001&UserAction=viewSimpleDiagInfo&Parameters=info
your moving when your sitting down

Yes. For example, if you are sitting on a train that is at rest, but there is a train on the next track that is moving, it may appear that you are moving.

I would like to know why Kevin is always sitting - does he have a problem moving around???
Compression/Exhaust.
At exhaust valve opening, pressurised gas reduces pressure by moving across the turbine blades and out of the exhaust pipe, the momentum of the moving gas is tapped by the turbine blades producing torque on the turbine shaft.
The water level in the radatior is lower than the inlet of the heater core. At idle the water flow is not high enough and the air bubble in the cooling system moves to the highest point in the system The heater core, Now hot water, no heat Check your thermostat, when the car is sitting still it may not be getting the cerculation it needs
heater on at idle and will not blow warm air. when moving it blows the warm air from the vents. what will cause this
Yes, if the coolant level is low, or the pump is not capable of moving coolant through the heater core.Yes, if the coolant level is low, or the pump is not capable of moving coolant through the heater core.
