Radios usually have a built-in AM aerial - in the form of a copper wire coiled into a tube inside the case. It may be that you need an external FM aerial - which would normally be plugged into an available socket on the rear of the case.
i believe you can but just make sure the radio is the same model and the one your taking out
the radio code is on the back of the radio. take the radio out and you can see it.
The radio amp on a 99 VW Jetta is located under the driver side dash. It is in the fuse number 42 slot.
I have the Xperia play as well but it lacks the fm radio which was the only thing that disappointed me :-(
Check the owner's manual, or go to the dealer. These will be your only resources. strangley enough after i did the power window reset my radio turned right on.

Your local dealer has to pull the radio and hook it to a computer to find the code. It cannot be done with the radio in the vehicle.
Go to About.com for fuse map. Think it is #42
A 2001 Neon radio will only play the standard cd format. It will not play mp3's.
No I can't answer this, but I have the same question. The battery has been diconnected and the reset code is doing nothing. The 2003 TDI Jetta does not have an option to use the radio speakers for a phone... so what's up?
I have the code just need how to program
