The air cleaner removes particles of dirt before the air enters your engine. Without it, dirt will enter the cylinders, scoring the walls, and eventually leading to failure.
Air Cleaner (Element) Removal & Installation1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Remove the outlet tube clamp from around the air cleaner element housing and remove the tube from the air cleaner housing. Position the tube out of the way. 3. Remove the air cleaner element from the air cleaner housing. 4. Installation is the reverse of removal.
Although it is called a vacuum cleaner, it does not actually create a vacuum. Inside the cleaner there is an electric motor which drives a fan blade. This fan blows air out of the vacuum cleaner and this causes air to be drawn in to the cleaner at the other end. Thus the cleaner works by creating an air flow, not a vacuum.
it would clean the air already polluted and make it cleaner .
Removal & Installation (4.6L & 5.4L) 1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. 2. Release the air cleaner clamp and separate the air cleaner halves. 3. Remove the grommet from the air cleaner housing and slide the grommet down the hardness. 4. Remove the (MAF) sensor plate and (MAF) sensor from the air cleaner. 5. Detach the (MAF) sensor from the harness. 6. Remove the retaining nuts and remove the (MAF) sensor. 7. Installation is the reverse of removal.
The external air temperature sensor on a Chrysler PT Cruiser is located in the front of the motor. It is in the air intake tube that goes from the air cleaner to the motor.

That is what is referred to as mooseing. There is a fix for it. What is the fix? On my car, it was the 'idle air control motor' mounted between the air cleaner and the fuel injection system. The new part was around $165, total bill with diagnostics was just over $300.
its in the intake manifiold,,follow the rubber hose from the air cleaner to motor..
An air cleaner is a device which filters or cleans air, or an air purifier.
On the Nissan NX Coupe the starter is located to the right of the transaxle and to the left of the air cleaner. The air filter will need to be removed as well as the battery to access the starter motor.
