Best Answer

Could be that the threads are stripped on the plug or the head where the plug is screwed in. Or maybe it's the wrong plug..

Why did your spark plug blow out of head on intrepid?

there are 3 possible causes that a sparkplug will blow out of its hole. Most likely the plug was over tightened stripping the threads. A loose plug can also hammer the threads out of the hole over time as well. Or the plug wasnt tightened and worked its way out but this is unlikely because the plug wire boot will usually prevent the plug turning.

How do you change the spark plugs in a 1987 Chevy Celebrity?

To change the spark plugs in a Chevy Celebrity: 1. Give the spark plug boot a twist to free it up from the spark plug, then pull on the boot to remove the spark plug wire from the spark plug. 2. Use a 5/8" spark plug socket with an extension and ratchet or breaker bar to loosen then remove the spark plug. 3. Set the gap on the new plug to .045" then screw it back into the spark plug hole in the head. Tighten the spark plug and replace the spark plug wire. I change the spark plugs one at a time to keep from getting the spark plug wires on the wrong spark plug.

How do you access the spark plugs in the 89-1994 Jaguar XJ6?

They're right on top of the valve cover when you remove the spark plug wires. You need a spark plug socket on a long ratchet extension. Blow or vacuum out the holes first so a bunch of junk doesn't fall into the cylinders.
