sounds like your clutches in 3rd and drive and burnt out
The 2005 Chevrolet Silverado offered at least two packages. The first reduced cost by using a 2 wheel drive as opposed to 4 wheel drive. The second offered for the first time a sun roof.
The wheels on a 1998 Chevy Silverado are 288 x 288. The first GMT800 Silverado/ Sierra were released in 1998 as 1999 models. The Chevy Silverado is available with either rear wheel drive or four wheel drive.
An automatic transmission might be slow shifting from first to second because of low transmission fluid. You might also have damaged the gears in the transmission at the area between first and second.
First of all is that the 94 suburban has a 4L60E transmission in it. Therefore it will no work in the 87 model.
First of all is that the center shaft that is in the 4-wheel drive transmissions are LONGER so the transfer case will slide up on it. 4-wheel and 2- wheel drive transmissons will not interchange. Also if the 92 has a v-8 in it then it requires a v-8 transmission and that is the 4L60E Transmission. The v-6 transmission bellhousing is SMALLER then the V-8 transmission. So No it won't work.
Transmission is getting tired - transmission death rattle
Sounds like a bad solenoid. But if it shifts hard from first to second then from second to third but fine when from third to over drive forth but then shifts a little hard when down shifting through the gears if that is the case might need to change transmission filter and fluid sometimes overfilling the transmission with fluid could do this as well.
If the transmission is an automatic, the electronic controls or internal problems could be the cause. If it is a straight drive, then the most common cause is a bent or worn shifter fork.
First you need a back window. Second You Need a 1999 Silverado. Third you will need tools to adjust it.
i would say to change the distributor cap and rotor and possibly fuel filter. with my 96 first and second worked until it shifted to over drive then it seemed like i had absolutely no power at all
The benefits of buying a used Chevy Silverado over a new one are two-fold. First, the initial purchase price will be much less. Second, the depreciation will be much slower. A new vehicle depreciates greatly as soon as you drive it off the lot.
first thing to do is check the transmission fluid
