no water should be coming out of the safety valve , only if water over a certain temp orthan creates a pressure if water coming out and water not steaming than replace valve
tHERE COULD BE THREE THINGS 1) SIMPLY A BAD RELEIF VALVE REPLACEMENT WILL SOLVE THIS. 2) IF IT A GAS HEATER IT MAY NEED AN EXPANSION TANK TO RELEIVE THE EXPANSION CAUSED BY THE QUICK RECOVERY OR HEAT UP OF THE WATER 3) TOO MUCH WATER PRESURE INCOMING TO THE TANKAnswerPossibly overheating due to high temperature setting or faulty thermostat.
Depends where it is coming from. If it is on the cold side and from the vacuum relief valve, no big deal. If it is coming from the inlet or outlet ports where the fittings are screwed in, then they were not sufficiently threaded in properly.
Check your water heater to ensure that the valve in the supply line is open. You can test that the water heater is working by using the relief valve at the top, just beware of the potential for scalding hot water to come out if the heater is operating correctly. If you have a full tank, and all the valves are open around the water heater, it may be time to call a plumber.
In the tank, if you have the type of fill valve that the float rides up and down on a tube or square shaft, there is a quarter size washer in it that hardens and will not let the water in. It is either in the top or bottom depending on the exact type of valve. Shut the water off at the wall and this type comes apart by twisting it one quarter turn counter clockwise. The washer should be at the point the float separates from the base.If you have the type that has the float ball on the rod, the valve can corrode and will need to be replaced.Sometimes, the washer in the shut off valve will come off and plug the valve. Doesn't happen that often, but something to consider.
A two way valve is also known as a shut off valve with two ports. A basic two way valve acts like a stock flow valve and allows water to come in and go out.
because it is a relief to all the people they help
Bias relief came from Greece originally.
The valve stem and/or washer on the cold side needs to be fixed.
The aerator to the cold taps may be jammed, otherwise check to see that the cold water valve is switched on.
There is a shutoff valve on the cold pipe going into the H/W tank, if you close it no water will come out of the tank. There should also be a shutoff valve on the wall below each faucet/tap.
No they would come under "G" for garbage
Yes it will work. But if you turn the valve open to fast there is a safety mechanism inside the valve and the propane will not come out. You will need to open the valve slowly for the tank to work.
