If you keep your computer up to date and update it often, at least once per fortnight checking for updates you then should have less hassle and waiting time plus you have the added bonus of ensuring that your computer is always up to date and the operating software security bugs are always fixed, keeping unwanted visitors away from your computer. >/br>

A: You could have auto updates turned off. (Go into control pannel then security then updates and make sure they are turned on)
B: Your putting computer in standby or hibernation which will not install updates you have to shut it down.
C: If you have not already try clicking the shield icon at the bottom left it will either be red or yellow or not be there and manually install them.
