I just spent $550.00 to have a new fuel pump and while they were at it a new fuel filter, put into my 2000 suburban. The Dealership qouted $1130.00.

I found that there are about three different fuel pumps depending on who the supplier is at the time and they range from about $231.00 up to $265.00 and then of course you have the labor. My mechanic just charges $150.00 whether it's a Pickup Tahoe or Suburban.

Mine went out on the freeway, so I suggest you get it replaced before it leaves you stranded some place you don't want to be stranded
