Why does your 2000 Chevy Impala hesitate when you first start driving it only happens for a few seconds a couple seconds after it has just been started. It sounds like it's going to die but doesn't.?

I'm not a mechanic, and I'm a girl, and even I know that a fuel injected car is lacking a carburetor. Your answer is insulting and rude. Quit trolling around answer.com and find yourself a hobby.
As a driver of a 2004 Chevy impala LS 3.8 (not supercharged), and a girl (non-mechanical), the first thing I would do is take your car to an autozone or parts retailer who will run a diagnostic on your car and tell you what codes come up. If you don't have a mechanic to ask, that is.
The short answer is that it could be any number of things. I'm sorry I don't know more, but that should give you a start. Autozone runs the diagnostic for free, which is super nice of them.
