Have you added gas & fuel injector cleaner/additives to your gas tank? Have you changed the fuel & oil filters and or tuned up your car, recently? Try these first before you spend alot of $$ having someone check it out.
It was my crankshaft sensor that needed changing.... all is now well (touch wood!!!)
idle control valve is shot!!
I believe you need to drive it so the ECM relearns it's idle.
you need to replace the idle regulator and re initaiise it. idle regulator needs to be replaced and then reinitalised via a suitable diagnostic tool.
The Idle speed control serves a few functions such as increasing the idle when the vehicle is cold to keep it from stalling. It also responds to increased engine load such as when you turn on the air conditioning or turn the steering wheel at idle. Without the idle speed solenoid the vehicle would stall nearly every time you came to a stop.
The cycle switch not engaging the Compressors clutch
Most of the time rough running and stalling is due to vacuum leaks. There is more of a load on the engine when it is in gear, so that lends itself to stalling out. When I look for vacuum leaks, I have the engine idling (maybe you need a friend to keep it from stalling) and then spray carburetor cleaner around the various hoses & gaskets that could be leaking. Any increase in the idle speed would be an indicator that you have a leak in that area.
The consumption of a 2000 VW Beetle is about one quart of oil for?æbetween 1500 to 2000 miles. I may be a useful?æto change the oil ?æand filter every 5000 miles to keep the engine in good condition.
there could be a few things to look at first , is the check engine light on? if so then you want to get a shop or auto zone to run a computer diag on it you will probably find either a mass airflow meter or the idle air control is bad you can mail me @ tajohn4u@aol.com for further info
because its a retard
It hates you
A common cause for a stalling 1996 Honda Civic is a vacuum leak. Check the vacuum diagram for the vehicle and is if there are any leaking air lines.
your vehicle needs an idle relearn needs to be done by a Mitsubishi agentmay also have a faulty stepper motor for the idle control or the battery may be losing to much voltage during start up
