Temp sending unit for ecm. most likely sensor is bad computer cant read engine temp, fast idle do to cold reading
I had this problem with my 2001 Venture, the dealer replaced the motor and the mechanism. The van was only 6 mos. old..
maybe the fast idle valve. mine started to die whenever i had that lowered.
Probably the AIC air idle control on the throttle body get it scanned to find out for sure
bad coolant level sensor in either side or bottom of plasit coolant resivoir,
check your idle control valve located behind the engine
