Chrysler decided to make it a special tool only available to the dealer.
If you read the other Jeep forums and listen to the dealer they will tell you things like it has to be done just so and at just a certain temperature yada yada . Well after owning an 07 since it was new I have taken it in many times for a "free trans level check" I do it just to be a pain in the but. Because I have watched them over and over. and all they do is stick a dip stick in the hole with it idling and in park. I did not see them take any temp or do anything special. I have rebuilt trans missions man and auto many times over so I know them. This is a bull-s ploy to get you in the shop as often as possible.
