I would recommend checking for codes before you do anything else.
Is it a brand new distributor ? If not then replace the module and pick-up coil in the distributor that you have.
firing order is 18436572... looking from fan, first post on distributor will be closest to you to right. that will go to cylinder 1. post to right is 8, then 4, and so on.
The spark travels from the coil to the distributor then from the distributor to the plugs. So if you have spark going into the distributor but not coming out to the plugs, I would blame the distributor cap and rotor being at fault.
Spark Plugs need replaced Bad or Old Distributor or even a weak fuel pump, or old fuel filter.
haynes or chiltons will have this
There is no distributor cap as there is no distributor. There are 3 coil packs, each coil fires 2 spark plugs simultaneously.
When you replaced the plugs, did you check the compression? Did any of the plugs look different than the others? Low compression in one cylinder can cause misfiring. But then, so can a faulty distributor cap.
inside the distributor cap. there should be 2 sets of plugs that go to your distributor, those plugs go directly into ur ignitions module
4.3? Follow the spark plug wires from the spark plugs, they will lead you right to the distributor.
Possibly bad fuel, or a bad sensor of some sort.
If it is a black weather PAC connector comming out of the distributor it plugs into the one comming out of the firewall. If the one comming from the distributor is missing and there is only one comming out of the firewall and there is a vacuum advance on the distributor, someone replaced the distributor with an older style. They did this more than likely because those early computer ones were problematic, and hard to get working just right.
If you have spark at all but one plug, the problem is with that plug, wire, cap or rotor.
