It's an option. You can ask Porsche to remove this lettering when you purshase a new car. Or it has been removed by the owner himself...

The switch is on the front end of the transmission on the top. When you put the car in reverse a part inside the transmission pushed the back up light switch. It screws into the transmission - you can get to it with the car jacked up high enough.
