'coz it does... u got prob??': Yeah, I'm sure that wasn't a particularly enlightening answer...So, I'll have a stab at it below.

Muscle tissue, specifically, skeletal muscle, is used for energy during starvation. This is simply because muscle tissue contains a (relatively) great deal of non-essential structural protein, that can be used to provide energy without *immediately* causing death. Amino acids derived from hydrolyzed muscle protein can actually be used as sources of energy. Indeed, amino acids are classified as ketogenic and glucogenic, depending on if they can yield ketone bodies (acetoacetate, 3-hydroxybutarate) and acetyl-CoA or carbohydrate precursors (eg. oxaloacetate; pyruvate), respectively.

But what's the energy liberated from muscle tissue used for? Simply, to provide energy for organs more crucial than skeletal muscle, basically the brain. The amino acids from skeletal muscle can be converted to carbohydrate precursors which enter the gluconeogenic pathway, creating new glucose, which the brain can use for energy (brain-and nervous tissue-prefer glucose to all respiratory substrates). In addition, cells and organs without mitochondria, such as red blood cells, the kidney cotex and testes, better known as balls (yeah, that's right: its done for the family jewels too) can ONLY use glucose for energy, as only glucose can be anaerobically respired. In fact, some types of skeletal muscle fibres (type 1/white/fast twitch/glycolytic) too can only use glucose for energy as they have little to no mitochondria. The ketones derived from muscle protein are alternate sources of energy for the brain, kidneys (excluding their cotices, as aforementioned) and...skeletal muscle.

So that, in a nutshell, is why the body uses muscle tissue for energy.

Cellular form of energy that muscle tissue use for work?

Adenosine triphosphate (ATP)

Why would muscle tissue cells require more mitochondria than fat cells?

The mitochondria are the powerhouses of the cell, where ATP molecules are produced. These high energy molecules provide the body with energy. Muscle tissue cells require more mitochondria than fat cells because they do a lot more work, hence they need more energy.

Which type of molecules does the body use to build and repair?

Proteins are used to build and repair muscle tissue

What does tissue mean today?

tissue can either mean; tissue- as in from a body muscle tissue/ biology or tissue- as in the thing you use to wipe your nose with! or tissue -there many other types of tissue toilet paper kitchen roll-you name it- they are all types of tissue as well!

When starving yourself does it eat your muscle away and help get rid of it?

When dieting, not just when starving yourself, your muscles damage themselves while being used. The damage isn't as severe as tearing a muscle, but the tissue does need time to recover. If there's enough protein in the body, resting will allow the body to use the protein to repair the muscle tissue. If there isn't enough protein, the body may try to get it elsewhere, but in general it cannot convert other stored mass, such as fat, into protein. Thus you start to lose muscle tissue. This is '''not''' a healthy way to reduce muscle tissue.

Which type of molecule doe sthe body use to build and repair muscle tissue?

When one tears it muscles while working out in the gym or carrying something heavy, the muscle tissue will break. After it breaks, muscle tissue will slowly repair, piece by piece. And thus, after a day or two, the muscle will recover, if not, see a doctor. ATTENTION: IT CAN BE DANGEROUS.

Why you need more ATP on your muscle cells?

Your muscles need a lot of energy to work, since every movement you make is using a lot of your muscles, and since ATP is energy, you need a lot of energy to go to your muscle cells because you use them all the time - even like typing at the computer, or just sitting up straight at your computer chair.

What are examples of chemical energy transformed into muscular energy?

It is the sugar or fat in your body that your muscle cells use to make energy. Thus, it depends ultimately on your sugar.
