The frontend most likely needs alignment.
---- Have them double check the wheel balancing while they're at it.
The rotors could also not be sitting cleanly against that nice new hub - pull it and check there's no corrosion build up on the backside. If there is, just wire brush it clean.
Of course, the rotor itself could be a bit out-of-true/round.
And then there's the tire itself - belts that have separated inside the tire can cause a good shake also.
But I agree with Hollyday516, I'd start with the alignment and wheel balancing...
i changed my left side bearing then after 3 months there was a humming on the left side so i took it to the shop they said it was the right i said the left so they did the right and found out it was the left so both wear done now there's still a humming noise what do i do now.
It could be a wheel bearing or the center carrier bearing of the driveshaft.
The grinding could be coming from the rear brakes.
birde
check to make sure brakes are not worn out and scraping
Answerone possibility you might want to check is your tires. make sure they are properly balanced and check the tread for even wear. uneven wear could indicate loose or worn out steering components paulCheck your front whell bearing or cv shafts. I have the same problem with my 2003 caravan.
Did you get an alignment after replacing the axle?
u know when you have greased a bearing when grease starts puffing out. as far as do you ever stop greasing a bearing not as long as the bearing is still in service
you need an alignment, badly....or your bearing snapped. call a mechanic, and tell them your vehicles' symptoms. they'll tell ya the same thing i just did
changed wheel bearing on left front hub on 99 infinity i still have alot of end play i have never had this happen before is this normal for this family of car
Well, the only thing I could suggest is to show her that you have changed, if in fact you have changed. If you haven't changed, she will know it and you will be right back where you are.
No, The bearing is what your wheel rolls and sits on. No bearing mean Wheel will come off.
