More often than not they are playing with each other. Sometimes things can get a little rough and one may draw blood with their claws. The term 'cat and mouse' applies here and it's partially to do with hunting instincts (rodents, etc.)
a cat hisses when it sees a dog. The hissing is an example of -
A. stimulus
It's scared, annoyed, only likes you, or has some serious issues
hiss
Cats hiss because they may feel threatened by what you are doing. If a cat hisses at you for doing something, you stop doing it, because they sometimes will attack you for doing it out of irritation, and/or they feel frightened. Hope this answers your question.
They make aloud screech if they just got hurt. If they don't want to be held or touched, they let out a long meow or a sharp loud one. I have three cats. And one isn't very nice. If the cat's wimping they let out a low meow you can tell immediately that the cat is hurt. If your cat is angry or scared, it might growl or hiss at the thing it is mad at. or if it is scared it might puff up its fur to look bigger.
Cats puff up and arch their backs when they are near a dog because they look bigger and more threatning. They don't look scared or weak, and they look bigger and tougher. They hiss and spit because it is their way of saying, "If you come near, I'll bite your head off." If you ever see a cat who looks like this, DON'T go near it unless you want to be attacked. They are very scared and defensive, and need some time alone to chill out and regain their dignity.
lol ive seen a cat fight....it ain't pretty, they will hiss and atack each other
Your cat is probaly scared of you, try giving it treats from your hand, playing with it , dont pet your cat until it seems calmer around you. If your cat is angry it might hiss and it might hiss because a stranger is at your house and is trying to pet your cat.
Because they don't feel offended or scared. Cats hiss because they feel danger. If your cat or somebodies cat you know isn't hissing. That simply says that they are happy. Happy to help!!!
Hissing means that the cat is scared and it is trying to defend its self so stay away if a cat starts to hiss and arch his/her back.
either a hiss, ( mouth is wide, jaw opened, eyes squinted) or probably just a scared meow
Sometimes it's fur will stand on end. It also will hiss, and its ears flatten against their head.
