More often than not they are playing with each other. Sometimes things can get a little rough and one may draw blood with their claws. The term 'cat and mouse' applies here and it's partially to do with hunting instincts (rodents, etc.)

What is the sound a mad cat makes?

They make aloud screech if they just got hurt. If they don't want to be held or touched, they let out a long meow or a sharp loud one. I have three cats. And one isn't very nice. If the cat's wimping they let out a low meow you can tell immediately that the cat is hurt. If your cat is angry or scared, it might growl or hiss at the thing it is mad at. or if it is scared it might puff up its fur to look bigger.

What is an. onomatopoeia for frightened cat?

What does it mean when cats puff at other cat?

Cats puff up and arch their backs when they are near a dog because they look bigger and more threatning. They don't look scared or weak, and they look bigger and tougher. They hiss and spit because it is their way of saying, "If you come near, I'll bite your head off." If you ever see a cat who looks like this, DON'T go near it unless you want to be attacked. They are very scared and defensive, and need some time alone to chill out and regain their dignity.

Do raccoons hiss?

Cats hiss because they may feel threatened by what you are doing. If a cat hisses at you for doing something, you stop doing it, because they sometimes will attack you for doing it out of irritation, and/or they feel frightened. Hope this answers your question.

What sounds do cats make?

Cats can make a variety of sounds including meowing, purring, hissing, growling, chirping, and yowling. The type of sound a cat makes can vary depending on their mood, such as feeling happy, scared, or agitated.
