We don't "need" it just like your country probably doesn't need whatever symbol you have. We have it though, and for a few reasons. The bald eagle is native to North America and can be found in all states except Hawaii. When the creators of the United States set out to find a symbol (because they wanted one) the bald eagle stood out. They chose it because of its fierce and majestic look and independent demeanor. It is also the second largest bird in America, the largest being the California condor. Interestingly enough, Benjamin Franklin (politician, inventor, scientist) thought that the turkey should be our national bird, because of the bald eagle's tendencies to harass another bird to steal his food. He was outvoted and the bald eagle became a symbol of the USA.
The main idea in "Preserving a Great American Symbol" is the importance of protecting and conserving the American bald eagle as a national symbol. The article highlights the efforts made to save the species from extinction and the significance of the bald eagle in American culture and history. It emphasizes the need for continued conservation efforts to ensure the survival of this iconic bird.

Some Charicterisices of a Bald Eagle are they mainly have a brown body and white head and tail. Bald Eagles are not really bald it comes from a derived word "white headed." You can't tell the male from the female because they have the same feathers or plumage, but the female is larger than the male. The Bald Eagle is a symbol of the U.S. Their beak is large and hooked. Bald Eagles fly with their wings curved. Did i answer your question?
Several times a day actually
Bald eagles need lots and lots of space to feel free and survive.
a bald eagle has a hooked beak because they need to have a way to KILL there prey before they eat the animal when they are alive.
pretty much whatever it can find such as fish, rodents, carrion (dead bodies) ,and smaller birds
The real question is which one should we save? Seriously, saving the bald eagle, or any endangered species is a fine idea. Creating false endangered species though makes the issue are more complex then it should be. Polar bears, as an example are on the increase. Why make them endangered when they clearly are not.
Sexually, of course. All birds do. Once pregnant, they lay eggs and incubate them in the nest.
I can't think of anyway an eagle would help humans directly. But, being a top predator in the food chain helps keep a balance in the populations of certain animals they would normally eat in the wild. Unfortunately the Bald Eagle and other top predators in the wild need our help tremendously more.
