Dogs have the skills and knowledge that the other pets listed above does not have. The sensitivity to protect their owner, play with their owner, listen to their owner, and guard their owner at anytime night or day. The dogs great sense of skill is how they have a relationship with their owner.

∙ 7y agoIf you are asking why a dog sleeps touching a human, it is often to ensure he/she will be awakened if the human moves. This prevents to human from leaving while the dog is sleeping.
I have 3 dogs of my own. They lay on you because they are very social animals. They love you more than anything... They rely on you to look after them because they are not like humans. They cant get food by themselves if you leave them abandoned in the house or anywhere. So the dogs love you because you love them. If you want any information please comment on my message board.. Because they are pack animals. They see their owners as part of their pack and crave their owners attention and companionship.
