If it makes the ticking sound and the engine will not crank, then either your battery is dead or the starter solenoid is shot.
A nick, crack or tear in a belt will make a tick soung as well as a water pump that is going bad.
will a bad crank shaft sensor make a 2005 chevy equinox not start
Get your brakes tested. I do not know what a ticking sound means.
Daylight and darkness are equal during the vernal equinox.
No, it will crank, but it will not start.
well it sounds like your lifters are ticking The connecting rods screaming LET ME OUT!!!
I can tell you mineis ticking because of a bad hydraulic valve lifter. Yes that's right but, mine had been ticking for about two weeks and I got to the point that I hated driving my truck. I used a bottle of Sea Foam available at any auto parts store. I pulled a vacuum hose on the top of the intake with engine running, and let it suck some into the intake cleaning any carbon deposits out. I then dumped the rest into the crank case where the oil goes make sure to not overfill it though. I've gone two months with no ticking!
No.
Sometimes a ticking sound is a valve lifter. The faster you go the faster the ticking will be. Make sure first it is not something stuck in a tire or something on the fan belt.
its broken
The ticking noise is the metal cooling.
The fuel injectors make the ticking noise you hear at startup, especially when the engine is cold (colder temperatures).
