If you moded your lift you need to adjust the cable. the linkage needs fixed, your tub needs trimmed, your gear is destroyed so it pops back onto the main servo. sometimes making a sharp turn will luck up mine and pop me out due to axle lock up rare but happened a few times.

Your 4 wheel drive actuator might be the problem but it could also be that your spider gears in the transfer case are worn down to where they dont stay connected OR could be that your low on fluid or missing your filler cap for the transfer case
It is either a bad shifter bushing, or a bad shift collar. Lets hope it's the bushing, push down on the shifter ( engine off ) use a little force and push and pull on it like you are trying to shift it, but put some downward force to it as well, if the bushings are the problem it will pop out.
It is mounted in the dash right beside the head light switch. You will have to pop the plastic cover off of the front of the dash to get to it.
