I would suspect you are low of oil. Park the vehicle on a level surface and wait 30 minutes after you have shut the engine off. Check the oil level and add as necessary to reach the full mark.
because of pressure
Pressure certainly does increase in a water line going down hill. This is because the weight of the water pulls it.
One of the sensors is tripping the engine light. Codes need to be retrieved. Problems could be O2 sensor and or Catalytic Converter.
The light will come on when it is 1.5 quarts low in a hard turn or going up a hill. It will come on when it is 2 quarts low traveling normally. Why not just check the oil level regularly and not depend on a light telling you it is low?
is the engine oil low? maybe its flowing to the back of the sump and away from the pick up when you go up the steep hill.
Just came from a mechanic. Check to see if you have a bad ignition cyliner. This may help. must brake, going up / down steep hill too quickly
