On my engine, the accelerator pump on the Carb is going bad, 350 engine with quadrajet carb
if the engine is backfiring it will damage the maf,.
You will find it on the BACK TOP REAR of the engine and it will have 9 rubber wires going to it.
You can't it is not ajustable. It is computer controlled. Is your check engine light on ? If it is then you need to have the engine scanned with a scanner to see what's going on with it.
If your vehicle has an engine oil cooler ther will be two hydraulic lines going to each side of your radiator. If there are only lines going to one side of your radiator, then it doesn't have an engine oil cooler.
I have a 1999 GMC Suburban with the same problem but it did not show up until I had removed all of the wiring harness from the engine for a cylinder head job. I am going to look at the throttle position sensor and wiring connector tonight.
AnswerTry going to the dealership's service department. Most will have what you need on their computers and can print a copy for you. They did it for me in Houston, for the AC system. You have to ask nicely, as always, there are some people who try to take advantage of the service. This will anger the service guys and then they will not do it for anybody anymore.
The oil pressure sensor, on your 2003 Chevrolet engine, is located on the front of the engine, just above the oil pan. The pressure sensor will have two wires going to it.
Dude, the engine is smoked. Sorry to have to tell you.
Try going to autozone they check the engine light signals for free and have reset mine
It there on the passenger side of the radiator then there TRANSMISSION coolant lines and they hook to the transmission. If there on the other side then there OIL cooler lines for the engine.
check engine light
There may be something worng with the main prossesor
altinator going bad
if the number is going down (-3475 4.. 3..) you need an engine service in 3475 miles, but if it's increasing you are 3475 miles passed your last engine service
It takes a 5 volt signal from the Quad module or PCM to turn the fan on. Check voltage going threw plug.
You're going to need "The Book". A factory service manual (FSM) for your vehicle is the best. .
Your towing capacity is 10,000 lbs. max. I would only recommend going up to 7,500 lbs. though.
The only way to reset the service engine light on a Nissan without going to a mechanic is to remove the battery cables and touch them together. This will reset the system but it will not turn it off forever; it will come back on until you fix the problem.
I disconnect my battery and it goes out and is out when you reconnect. My 1997 Chevy van w/ 4.3L engine cannot handle all the fuel when I used passing gear, and the light comes on from raw gas going into the exhaust system. The only draw back I have found in doing this is that you need to drive it for 35 or so miles (some at freeway speed) to reset the 'black box'. And then only when you are going for an inspection sticker because they somehow need to be able to 'read' the black box in their inspection. Hope that helps...
Its in the back of the suburban has a 2 wire connector and a air hose attached to it next to a box with two air hoses going to it
On my 1999 Chev Suburban the answer is the fuel filter. It appears when going uphill and trying to give it a lot of gas the engine is not get enough and misfires. I replace the fuel filter and the light goes away. It comes back after a while and I just change the fuel filter. I have 227,000 miles on my suburban
Bad spark plugs are plug wires.
Bring your vehicle to an Auto mechanic for an engine diagnostics test to determine which area of your engine has cause the service engine light to appear illuminated. The results could be as simple as a sensor going out, or component failure which puts you at major risk.
Possible speed sensor issue. Have it checked for trouble codes to know what to diagnose.
