The bump may be a couple of things. The first may just be swelling, which will go down over time as long as you are caring for it as per the piercers directions. The second may be keyloiding (scar tissue forming). if it is the scar tissue forming, you can try chamomile tea. Breifly soak the tea bag in warm water and then apply the bag to the area of the piercing. Hold it there for about 5 minutes. After that, remove the bag, wash with a liquid anti-bacterial soap, and rinse. Do this about 3 times a day for a week or longer if needed.

You DO NOT remove a navel piercing to clean it....The navel takes the longest of all the piercings to heal.....Over a year, but you should wait at least 3 months to change it..or take it out for any reason....If your piercer didn't take the time to tell you how to clean and care for it....get another piercer....Hope this helps.........
