We have a 2002 envoy and we had to have our probe replaced and recalibrate. I think oc means out of calibration. They had to do something strange like drive left and go in a circle for 5 times or something like that. All I know is that it works now.
Check your ambient temperature sensor located behind the front grill. Also if you are getting false temp. readings on your dash or it is stuck at fifty degrees, then it is definitly your sensor.
Hey Great Questions, My 2002 envoy is doing the same thing right now. About a week ago it started... Hope u find out an aswer, so I can read it THANKS The problem you described is with the ambient temperature sensor, located behind the grill. It is a small grey or black sensor, and it is a dealer only item. To replace it you will need to open your hood and remove the two screws located above the grill, then you can either pull the grill toward you and unplug the sensor or if you need more space you can pull up on the grill and take it out completely. Don't forget to unplug your head light washers.
There is no Intake Air Temperature sensor on a 1995 only 96 and newer. If you are asking because you are putting some sort of performance module on it then you need to hook that up to the Coolant temperature sensor which is located next to the thermostat and it is a two wire sensor.
If that is the only problem, then yes.
this is the only sensor on the air duct between throttle body and air filter housing.
On a 1986 Chevy Celebrity V6 the sensor that operates the gauge or temp light is on the head by the firewall at the rear of the engine. There is another temperature sensor on the water outlet. There is another temperature sensor that controls the cold start injector it is on the intake manifold next to the fuel rail. Fuel injected models only.
It is possible that the outside temperature sensor is defective. As a result the heat only works at certain electronic temperature control settings.
The only information I have found on this one is that it is located in the coolant pump.
Through the dipstick hole. Only way to do it. www.trailvoy.com Trailblazer and Envoy enthusiast forum!
There is a sensor located at the bottom of the coolant reservoir.
Try replacing the radiator fuse relay
The coolant temperature sensor in a 5.9 Magnum engine is located next to the upper radiator hose outlet housing which is behind the alternator. It is also stated that their will be only one wire going to it.
