replace your starter assembly
sounds like the starter solenoid, you will have to replace the starter
Weak battery or poor connection - battery to starter. Possible bad starter.
The starter have a bad rep But you can replace the relay and clean the connections but 9 out of 10 times it's the starter itself.
Have you checked your starter? If it clicks but does not turn over this is probably the issue. If you have a pipe, lug wrench, or retractable baton(my preference), tap the starter housing a few times pretty hard. Tapping the casing may help un-seize(?) your starter gear which is preventing the starter from cranking. The ultimate correction for your problem though would be testing your starter and possibly replacing it. Have you checked your starter? If it clicks but does not turn over this is probably the issue. The starter is probably at fault. Hit it with a hammer real good and if it starts it is the starter for sure. That won''t work but a few times.
could be the starter or the solenoid, they arer pron to heating up especially when using headers, peace
Weak battery Loose or corroded battery cables
starter is going out.....its happened to me plenty of times
you can try to short the starter motor . take a screw driver and bridge ffrom battery cable on starter to ignition wire on starter. if starter is good, engine will crank. if starter is bad , solenoid will click if no clicking, solenoid is bad
Your 1993 Dodge Caravan might start sometimes and not start other times because of a bad starter or solenoid. You might also have a weak battery or a charging system that is not working correctly. This could also be an issue with the distributor.
Don't use a computer much and don't spell well, sorry. I have a 2000 chev. S-10. I have changed the starter 3 times this last year, it works well for 4 to 6 months. then quits it just did again. The battery is charged and good, the lights are bright, the starter clicks but wont turn over. what else can I check? Thank you. Rich E. Don't use a computer much and don't spell well, sorry.
