Put vehicle in park, turn the engine off, rlelease the brakes. Slowly pull seat belt out and it should go back to the normal position. Unless it has malfunctioned... twisting etc...

With the spring brakes engaged, put the truck into first gear, and let off a little on the clutch. If it pulls, but does not move, your brakes are in working order. If the vehicle moves, there's a deficiency which needs to be corrected.
Put the truck on stands ,take off both wheels and pull off the drums .Only take one side apart at a time and use the other as a referance.

Something is obviously wrong with the right rear brakes. Have a trusted mechanic inspect the brakes NOW before you hurt someone or worse.

there is no reason you cannot put a car 350 in your truck, in fact any small block V8 will bolt right in.
any size just as long as you have enough motor to pull them
jack up the truck and get uner it and pull out the the exst then pull the starter boltes pull the starter down and unhook the wires the put the new one in
