This is another case of putting good parts on in place of good parts. To you the pump may be pumping enough pressure but you can not tell unless you install a pressure gauge. It will be by far cheaper if you take it to a reputable repair shop and have them diagnosis it and repair it.
It is a heater hose.
You need to go to a repair shop and not a parts house and have the light diagnosed. There is a reason and you need to know what it is.
It would be to your advantage to have a repair shop do the job for you. Purchase a Haynes Manual that is specific to your car and you will see where I am coming from.

Sounds like a blown head gasket
Well we just got back from doing a round trip from Reno to Oakland. We filled up 12.24 gallons and arrived back with 450 miles. That sums it up to being about 36 mpg. We never did over 70 mph and cruised around 65 mph. This coming from a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu Classic (with the ecotec 2.2L engine) You did not say the year or size of the engine which would be helpful.
On passenger side of the engine compartment, you'll see a see thru container with 3 small hoses coming out of it and a black cap. This is the coolant recovery tank and this is where you put antifreeze/coolant in.
at end of hose coming from throttle body,or carb.
