Chevy Colorado beep when locked?
no, the Chevy Colorado seems to be the only GM Vehical that does not beep when you lock it. Read the owners manual, I have a 2005 that beeps when I lock it. It can be programed to beep and flash the lights, just flash the lights, or just beep.
You forget the lights of your car on sometimes because it doesnt have a warning beep anymore How can you fix that?

How does the beep mechanism work in reversing trucks?
There is a switch on the transmission that recognizes when it is put in reverse, the same one that turns on the back up lights on a car. A horn with a flasher type relay circuit is connected to the line and whenever the vehicle is put in reverse you get a beep beep along with the lights.
