If you jumpered the pressure cycling switch that is mounted on the accumulator and the compressor engaged, then the system is low on refrigerant. Do not attempt to service it with refrigerant that has stop leak added. One reason is that in the long run it will cause damage to the system. The other and most important is that if a repair shop has to recover, evacuate and recharge the system, it will damage their equipment. The machines can cost from $2500.00 to $5500.00.

Have you flushed the heater core?
I don't know. I do know that they are soldered into the board and can't be replaced without knowledge of soldering.
Your car climate control is only hot or cold because these are the two most common options. When it is cold out, the heater is ran and when it is hot out, the air conditioner helps make the car cooler.
Yes. Mine is not as cold as it used to be, my manual said to check air conditioner Freon levels. I wasn't sure it had one either since there is no separate button for it...just climate control.
A Chevrolet Silverado that has cruise control problems might be having a problem with the part of the engine that controls speed and fuel intake. One culprit for this problem is the Speed Control Sensor that is located in the transmission. This part can be easily changed because it is more or less a probe that fits into the rear of the transmission.
