Well I had problems with my radio working while the car is running and all I had to do is get a stronger fuse I think it was a 10 and we put a 20 and its been fine ever since.or if its a 20 put a 30 etc.
Clean your battery terminals.
no
The head lights, radio, and eveything else works, but the car will not start. I checked the starter and it was good. The battery is good, but whatever it is causes the battery to have a low charge. Could it be the alternator
You need to change the K134 Multifunction Relay module: I found the Multifunction Module under the IP. It is factory part number 90494163 and is around $85 plus tax at the dealer.Very ez to install yourself: http://www.cadillacforums.com/forums/cadillac-catera-cimarron-forum/120481-catera-radio-problems.html
crankshaft sensor
To set the clock in a 1997 Cadillac Catera, first, turn on the ignition or start the engine. Press the "CLK" button located on the radio or climate control panel. Use the "H" (hour) and "M" (minute) buttons to adjust the time, then press the "CLK" button again to confirm the settings. Make sure to set the correct AM/PM designation if necessary.
Will it start after setting awhile? Check the crank shaft sensor.
Start checking out your engine and transmission mounts. Check the rubber to make sure it isn't torn.
its not your ignition its your crankshaft sensor that's the same problem i had.
The places to get a Cadillac radio are many and varied. The best place to start would be Amazon. If you are on a tight budget, a good option to try would be eBay.
go buy some fuel. if it doesnt start check fuel pump.
The crank sensor had to be replaced on my 98 Catera when it was doing the same thing. I had to take it to the dealer to have this done.
