Check your fuse, and your coolant temp sensor. The coolant temp sensor is more than likely the problem

I own a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo V-6 4.0L My fan clutch is gone, so the fan spins smoothly when the motor is off. If the fan clutch is good, the fan will not spin so freely. Plus, the temp guage will not go over the middle line while in traffic. I had my tested, and the a/c freon was good, but the back pressure built up fast because the fan was not cooling the radiator. The sensor worked fine, but the fan clutch did not. That would be my answer
