Your temp gauge is a very simple circuit with few things to go wrong. Your temp sensor may be bad, the gauge maybe bad, or the connecting path may be bad.
Sometimes if you have taken the gauge pack out, it does not seat right when it is reinstalled. The connection inside the dash is all pressure and prayer.
change your thermostat....
the sensor
where is the tempture desending unit on a 2001 camaro
It is cost prohibitive.
The temp sensors are in the sides of the heads under the exhaust manifolds one is for the gage the other is for the computer.
I have an 1995 Taurus with 3.0 L engine with an erratic temp gage. I found a cure by cleaning the connection where the wire plugs into the sensor on the engine & putting dielectric grease on it.
On the intake manifold near the thermostat housing.
Right around 235 degrees.
Get a new gage cluster panel.
Yes it will as well as give your computer a faulty reading causing it to run and idle very rough
The temperature gage on a 95 Civic can be located on the dash board, assuming this temperature gage is for the heat of the engine. It is usually located near the mileage.
If the temp gauge no longer works then either the gauge itself has failed, the sending unit has failed, or there is a problem in the circuitry.
