For the same reason that American police don't just lock up all Mafia - or other established gang members. There is a little matter of law and the legal process that must be adhered to. Simply knowing that one is a member of a criminal gang and proving that THEY, individually, committed a criminal act are two different things.
Think Nazi Germany in WWII - they simply locked up all the Jews - look what THAT brought on!!!
There are no statutes of limitations on the prosecution of homicide or murder.
You'll probably have a warrant out for your arrest. Good luck it happened to me. Best bet it to goto the police station and just pay it off. No biggy
Police chiefs are not generally in the habit of handing out badges, even to their friends.A badge, "registered" (not even sure what that means) or not, does not give the bearer powers of arrest. Law enforcement officers must be appointed by a law enforcement agency and certified by the state before they have police powers. If you were to try and arrest someone with just a badge, you would be subject to charges of impersonation of a law enforcement officer and possible false imprisonment. These are serious charges, often felonies.
There is no requirement in the law that law enforcement must videotape EVERY interaction that occurs between them and an arrestee. In other words . . . , they do not have to produce any such video.
probally they dont have enough proof to arrest you maybe?!?!
