they could have burned out, or the wires are bad. I recommend getting it checked by a mechanic ;)
Entire assembly should unbolt and slide out giving access to the bulbs

Brake light switch ?
The brake lights may not work on a 1993 Honda Prelude if the brake light switch is no longer working. The brake light switch is in the steering column just above where the brake pedal is bolted to it. There is also a chance that a brake light fuse is blown.
it dont have lights
Check the brake light sending switch. It's usually attached to the brake pedal. If that's not it, check the turn signal switch inside the steering column.
the turn signal handle is made to the multifunction switch. It operates the turn signals, brake light, emergency lights, ect. drl
there is a brake light fuse in the pannel you just need to look for it.
Jammed brake switch or short in the circuit.
The brake lights are a separate circuit from the tail lights. If the bulbs and fuse checks okay, I would suspect the brake light switch is at fault.
Maybe a fuse or relay burned out sounds like a bad multifunction switch, very common issue with older gm's in the 90s. Believe it or not gm wired the brake lights to be powered off the multi-function switch assembly in the steering column
