It depends what you are on about.
If you want to add them off another person just click on the emoticon. Then right click and press add- you can change the keyboard shortcut if you want to or just leave it the same.
If you have found one on the internet that you want to add, just save the picture (I assume you will know how to do that-just right click press save picture as and then click save) and when you go on MSN click on the little button that takes you to your emoticons.
Where it says "show all" click it.Then press "create" and click on "find image".
Choose the one you want and type a keyboard shortcut for it (it cannot be more than seven letters) and you are finished.
Whenever you want to use it, just type the shortcut and it will come up.
